I recently read an article titled How to Live An Abundant Life in Texas, it had 75 suggestions for how this might be accomplished day to day. I have shared my favorites here with you.
Worship God. * Inhale fresh air. * Think positive even when you don’t feel like it. * Remember it’s not all about you. * Contemplate “forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us”. * Wear sunscreen always…you’ll be glad you did in twenty years. * Arise early, drink coffee on the porch, say your prayers. * Listen to wildlife. * Eat homegrown fruits and vegetables. * Photograph the ordinary. * Make sun tea. * Forgo debauchery. * Savor the smell of rain. * Go fishing. * Turn off the TV and sit outside. * Hug your friends. * Lie in a hammock. * Go hiking. * Complain less. * Do your best. * Love deeply. * Watch for snakes. * Accept reality. * Behave as if God is observing (He is). * Nap. * Consume less alcohol and more water – you’ll look and feel better. * Smile. * Be patient with the elderly. * Visit the infirmed. * Laugh often. * Confess your sins. * Value life. * Grow flowers. * Care about your appearance. * Embrace hope. * Work diligently. * Manage your finances. * Continue education – you’re never to old to learn. * Soak in a warm bath. * Keep the faith in hard times. * Celebrate the good times. * Console the hurting. * Don’t litter, and pick up after others who do. * Read and expand your horizons. * Focus on the goal. * Pray without ceasing. * Write thank you notes. * Skip dessert – you won’t miss it. * Pursue your dreams. * Strive for peace. * Relax. * Choose happiness. * Take brisk walks – it rejuvenates mind, body and spirit. * Live every day as if it were your last.
